OSCILLATORS (Systems of) 2)
← Back
Transitions between some uncoordinated state of numerous elements and their grouping as a composite system, or even an integrated one may be interpreted as the coupling of numerous oscillators, which behavior becomes phase locked.
This can be examplified by amoeba, fish, or fireflies, or locusts swarms, and probably in the dynamic groupings of neurons in the brain. The condition for such a transition is the existence and sufficient power of a communication mode, which can be biochemical, or electric, visual or auditive.
